Ground blinds and ladder stands cause no harm to state land


Dear Woods-N-Water News:

I agree with John Eberhart about putting screws and screw-in steps in trees on state land. Although I do not agree with him on regulating ground blinds and ladders stands left out all year. I think you should be allowed to. A ground blind is not destroying anything and a ladder stand doesn't ruin the trees

If you find a good spot on state land and you want to continue to hunt that spot it's the only way you can claim your area. It really jerks my chain when the shooters that come up from down state, I use the term shooters, because they are not hunters, take over stands and blinds. It's not fair.
