Iíve hunted Michigan all my life, now I canít afford to hunt with my family because I moved to Florida!

Dear Woods-N-Water News:

I now live in Florida and subscribe to your magazine. I love it and can't wait for the next one to come. I have a hard time writing a letter at age 74 and see all the wonderful letters sent and feel all of them should include a copy to the DNRE. Most of them I agree with because it is a concern from the person who buys the license. It would be nice if some of them would be answered by the DNRE. If the DNRE makes a change in the rules a follow up should be made after and results given to the hunters.

Year after year the same complaints and no responses to anyone. The DNRE are the experts and I think they know the reasons or some of them and should work with the hunters, we are not all wrong. If we would see more of an effort to do that a lot of concerns would go away and we would see the results, or a least some of them. Raise the cost of a license and ask the hunters to help with their ideas.

Develop boards and go out to some of the troubled camps or areas. Stop running it like "WE" set the rules. Think outside the box. One request - lower the cost for a hunter now living in another state that paid for a license all his life and wants to hunt with his grandkids and sons. I can't afford $200 and would be happy to pay a resident fee like I did for over 50 years.

Thank you
